Now, it is very important that everyone understands just how awesome Sawyer is. His dad, Anthony, claims that "Cute Baby" (as Sawyer is often known by) has special superpowers. Aside from that, Sawyer and I share the same birthday - April 20th. For that reason alone, Sawyer is the bomb.
Of course, this post is slow in coming. As in, a month - maybe more - behind. The following fotos are from the family gathering from far and near to attend Sawyer's baby blessing on July 13th, 2008.
Anthony is probably the best dad in the world. When Sawyer was born, the first question everyone wanted to have answered was: "Is he a brown baby?"
Aunt Fran and I haven't seen each other since Nick and Jenna's wedding in June of 2006. I LOVE THIS WOMAN! Sawyer has a super-fash Abuela.

Apparently Aunt Fran brought a blessing outfit for Sawyer, but the parents thought it was too girly - so they exchanged it for a pin-stripe suit.
This is how I feel all day every day.
So this is Sawyer, burrito-style. Apparently they stick him in this yellow straight jacket (although I am sure it has a much cuter name so as to disguise it's nefarious purposes!) to keep him from startling himself awake if he happens to flail while battling super-villains in his sleep.
This is my favorite picture - Sawyer and his main man, Yoda.
And this was the amazing spread of DELICIOUS victuals that we had after the baby blessing at Allison's sister's house. That woman is a killer cook. And her husband was great at grillin'! They are awesome and the food was soooooooo goooooooooood.
